Greater Oneonta Historical Society will have a walking tour of historic River Street. Join native “lower deckers” for a nostalgic walk along one of Oneonta’s most historic streets. The tour will begin at the intersection of River and Main, where the village of Milfordville that became the city of Oneonta began. Many early Oneonta families had homes or businesses near this crossroads. From there the walk moves west, near the Wilcox farm and through the 6th Ward neighborhood, the home of many D&H railroad employees.
There is parking in nearby Neahwa Park. This tour is by donation.
